A total of nine laptops were distributed to the consortium’s Partner Member Agencies in a simple program held at ILARRDEC-OSIS, CRL Building, Batac, Ilcoos Norte, July 2. Dr. Stanley Malab, the consortium director together with Mr. Leonardo Pascua, Ms. Lilibeth Paraoan, and Ms. Love Grace Campano, RTPG, RMIS and RACO coordinators respectively, turned over the equipment to the focal persons, RMIS and RACO representatives. This equipment will be used to facilitate the operations and communication related activities of the consortium and the member agencies. Aside from laptop, the PMA’s will also be provided with internet connectivity. “Now that you have the laptop, you can be more productive and achieve more output for your agency and the consortium” Dr Malab said. He challenged them to have proper documentation of all the activities being undertaken by their agency and the consortium and come up with development papers and success stories particularly on the technologies being generated and have already been validated by farmers. Those who received the laptop were National Tobacco Administration (NTA), Cotton Development Administration (CODA), Philippine Rice Research Institute –Batac (PhilRice), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), University of Northern Philippines (UNP), Ilocos Sur Polytechnic College (ISPSC), department of Agriculture –Region 1 (DA-1), Department of science and Technology (DoST-1) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Two more are to be given to Pangasinan State University (PSU), and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU). |
