About the FITS Center The center was launched last April 18, 2008. It is based at the Municipal Agriculture Office, Pinili, Ilocos Norte. Since the center is situated in the Municipal Agriculture Office all linkages of the office are ultimately the linkages of the center. LGUs Provincial, Regional, and National Agriculture Office, other government agencies, private organizations and non-government agencies . Since the center is located at the Municipal Agriculture Office it is very accessible to the farmers and other clients. The center has available reading materials and other IEC materials needed by the clients. It is equipped with 2 computers, one from ILARRDEC and the other one from the LGU, 1 cellphone and a 7.2 megapixels digital camera. The presence of techno Gabay program/FITS center in the locality is a great help to the farmers, housewives, students and NGOs. Leaflet, magazines, and other reading materials enables them to be updated with the existing and new technologies they may adapt to uplift their way living. Extension delivery system in the municipality had been streghtend. PINILI Fits center compliments the vitality of extension delivery system to farmer clienteles, housewives, students, entrepreneurs and extension workers. The PINILI Fits center staff are always ready to assist farmer leaders throughout the municipality. History Mission As a major source of information and technology services that are accessible for all specially the farmers, processors, traders, entrepreneurs and other extension workers to empower and guide them in the critical decision making on production, processing, trading and marketing activities.
